What We Offer

Fully Customisable Auto Glass.

The type of window and frame used in a vehicle is based on several factors, including safety, aesthetic, and required level of customisation.  Panoramic Components manufactures a complete catalogue of glass products used by the automobile industry.

Laminated Glass

Strong and transparent, laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of vinyl between two pieces of glass.  Commonly found in automobile windscreens, laminated glass can easily be manufactured in a wide variety of thicknesses, tints, and curvatures, making it an extremely versatile product with many uses and applications.

Benefits

  • Blocks up to 99% of UV light

  • Reduced noise transmission

  • Doesn’t shatter when broken

  • Low emissivity reduces heat gain from the sun

  • Withstands impact better than other types of glass

Tempered Glass

Tempered glass (also known as toughened glass) is created by placing a pre-cut pane of glass into a furnace which heats it to 650°C and then rapidly cooling it.  This produces qualities that make tempered auto glass ideal for side and rear windows in a variety of passenger and industrial vehicles.

Benefits

  • Increased thermal resistance

  • Up to 5 times stronger than regular glass

  • Shatters into small, blunt pieces when broken

Solar Control Glass

Manufactured by incorporating chemical layers inside the glass, solar control glass is created to allow sunlight to pass through while reflecting solar heat. Solar control glass has a wide array of energy-saving applications across the architectural and automotive industries.

Benefits

  • Reduced visual glare

  • Blocks up to 99% of UV light

  • Extremely low solar heat build-up

  • Does not affect the transmission of natural light

  • Excellent insulation qualities if combined with double-glazing

Privacy Glass

Also known as factory tint, privacy glass is created by darkening through an electrical process called “deep dipping” which injects a dye into the glass during the manufacturing process.  Although privacy glass does not offer the same level of uv protection as film-based tints, it offers several other benefits.

Benefits

  • Aesthetic appeal

  • Reduced visible light transmission

  • Increased privacy for passengers and possessions

  • No bubbling or peeling associated with tint films (which are usually applied after manufacturing)

Frame with Glass

As the name suggests, this is a complete sliding window solution consisting of within a sliding frame.  Panoramic components frame-with-glass OE and OEM products have SABS (sans) certification and comply with EU (e1-mark) and us department of transportation (dot) standards.
